Review of Fahrenheit 9/11

I recently saw this movie and found it refreshing. I must say I'm a fan of Michael Moore and I've read "Dude, Where's my country?" and seen both Roger and Me" and "Bowling for Columbine".

After having read the book this movie was inspired from, "Dude, Where's my country?" I can't help but feel the full impact of his message wasn't truly captured. There were sections in the book that I had to step away from and re-read later. Although the movie does touch many of the book's same topics, it does so in a quick witty manner that doesn't allow one to truly absorb the material properly. If the purpose of this movie is to provoke thought and action then it was a success. Unfortunately, most people will only walk away with the thought this is propaganda and miss the arguments the book so accurately conveys.
I could only hope Fahrenheit 911 moves the people to read and educate themselves better. We're falling victim to the immense amounts of advertising and television penetration. As a result, we'll soon grow into a nation of obese walking zombies craving Coke and McDonalds. Hell...we may have already reached that stage.
